Wedding Venues:Why Choose Bali?

A wedding is a once in a lifetime dream and so couples want to make sure they have the best wedding ever. When talking about wedding venues, the first thing that comes to my mind is Bali, Indonesia. Bali is situated on the westernmost part of Lesser Sunda Island and is considered the most beautiful island in Indonesia and can accommodate many types of wedding ceremony.

Bali has a wide range of sandy beaches and captivating crystal blue water. It also has beautiful landscapes and huge array of hotels too, not to mention the hospitality of their people. These things have made Bali a perfect wedding destination.

A wedding venue for different nationalities

Bali is a perfect wedding getaway for couples with different nationalities. In fact, any wedding ceremony can be performed there without much hassle. To ensure satisfaction, government authorities are professionally managing all pertinent paper works. On top of that, you will also find a lot of wedding organizers who are readily available to assist you in your wedding preparation.

Holding your wedding in Bali is one of the best decisions you can ever make for you have varieties of places to choose from. You can have your wedding by the beautiful Bali beaches or hold your wedding in one of the luxurious Bali hotels.

Document requirements when holding a wedding in Bali

The simplicity of requirements is one of the reasons why it is best to hold a wedding in Bali. As a matter of fact, foreigners can get married in Bali legally and the marriage will still be recognized by their country. Marriage is performed under the legal religious ceremony as a marriage in government offices is not possible. Various religious affiliations are recognized in Bali including Hindu, Catholic, Christian Protestant, Buddhism, and of course Muslim. For the marriage to take place, you should first register your marriage to the district Civil Registrar.

There are also documents you should comply with and you don’t need to worry because these documents can be arranged from your own country. Among the documents you should present are passports, baptismal confirmation and birth certificate. If you are 21 years old and below, you should present parent’s consent for marriage. If you are a widow and you will be marrying again, you have to present a death certificate of your spouse. On the other hand, if you are divorced, then you should present a decree of absolute divorce certificate. You should also bring with you at least two witnesses.

Additional documents for catholic marriages

If you are a catholic, then there are additional requirements you should comply such as a baptismal certificate, a letter of freedom issued by the Parish Priest indicating that you have not been married before and that you are free to marry. Aside from that, a letter of delegation is also needed, which indicates that your Parish Priest has no objection to you being married by another Catholic Priest in Bali church. Once these documents are submitted, then you can go on with the proper wedding ceremony.
